Coffee Time Encaustic Painting, Abstract Polka Dot Wall Art (8x8)

This hand painted encaustic painting is called “Coffee Time.” This abstract encaustic painting uses multiple layers of encaustic wax painted on a wood box frame. I used baling wire to form the shape of the cup. The wire is then embedded into the wax. The incised marks I made with various tools. An oil paint stick is then used to wash over the painting. The wash is wiped off to reveal the rich surface details. Since this is wax it is recommended that you keep this out of direct sunlight. This was decor is 8”x8".
